"Buddy"

Buddy came to us from a children’s ministry riding program. The owners stated that he was a great kid’s horse but had a “bug-eyed” look all of the time, as well as pacing the pasture fence line. Photos of children riding him showed no signs of agitation, bucking or any other bad habits. Unfortunately, he just did not fit into their riding program. The riding group did not want to see Buddy go to auction, so the word was out of them looking for a new home. The more people know the name, T.E.X.A.S. Rescue, the more we can help! Someone knew of us and passed along our number. We felt that same as the riding group, it would be a shame to see Buddy end up in an auction… or worse.

We brought Buddy back to our facility and almost immediately noticed a softening of his eyes and no pacing! He looked and acted extremely calm and settled right in. Buddy is going to make someone an excellent personal horse, or possibly having another job as a lesson horse with a different riding group!

If you would like to sponsor Buddy or are interested in adopting him, please contact T.E.X.A.S. Rescue for details! All donations and sponsorships help with everyday care, veterinary bills and feeding of our animals.

Thank you for your support!
