Valor– 25 y.o. Belgian Draft Horse Gelding

He was our first horse officially brought into T.E.X.A.S. Rescue! He was 18 y.o. when we got him. He was previously owned by the Amish and is probably the ONLY health and undamaged horse that we have seen come from that lifestyle. He was previously a riding and driving horse. So proficient driving, that we used him as a majestic carriage horse, offering rides on our town square! Loved by everyone who met him, his personality has always been as big as his 2,000 pound size!

With most Belgians having a life expectancy of 17-22 years, Valor is retired and has several age-related medical issues. He will be with us til the end, as our beloved big STAR! Helping him through his final chapter will be a blessing!

Virtually Adopt Valor

Virtual Adoptions are based on a per month donation of $100, with a term of 12 months, equaling $1200 total for the one-year adoption. Virtual Adoptions may be paid in-full at the beginning of the adoption, or an adopter may pay monthly, with the $100 being due by the 1st of each month.
